Tyler Cowen is an American economist at George Mason University and one of the most widely read economic bloggers, known for his prolific output at Marginal Revolution and his podcast Conversations with Tyler. His books include The Great Stagnation (2011) and Stubborn Attachments (2018). Cowen is unusual among rationalist-adjacent intellectuals for his serious engagement with art, food, and culture, arguing that aesthetic cultivation is a mark of genuine sophistication.
